Split Secs is a group consisting of our homie TK Disko and Alexandre (of LA’s Making Shapes parties). Well, they have beat Say Again on getting Alona on vinyl first. Above is the first release from their new Machine imprint.

This choon is a cover of a nearly forgotten house gem on the legendary 90′s house label, Nu-Groove.

This record is appropriate for all events including dance floor gang bangs, Bar Mitzvahs, and yacht parties.

I am certain we have spoke on Quinten 909 at some point on here. Dude is a very talented young producer and from the track selection of this mix, he has some fine taste in other people’s music as well.

Without a doubt Treasure Fingers is one of the most visible figures in the broad definition of disco house. It’s pretty clear that the mega-dance label Defected is making a strong move to cash in on the scene, with recent tracks from Tensnake and Treasure Fingers, as well as some of the affiliate SBR posse (shhhh – details are secret). This is a good thing no matter how you throw the dice for small labels like us.

A sign of this has been the inclusion of Bit Funk’s remix of Ghosts of Venice’s recent single “Her” on Solid Bump. Below is the radio show from a few weeks ago. The SBR blog has been a bit heavy on mixes lately, however this is a much different vibe of a mix than the epic Robert James mix from yesterday. It’s good to keep a diverse dance music palette y’all.

Today I found out that the White Girl Lust remix of Diamond Light’s “What Have You?’ appeared on the latest mix from Australian super producers Bag Raiders. It’s a great mix and we are thrilled to be included. Peep the 36 minute mark for a taste of our remix.

A few months ago Adulture took the reigns of the Dust Traxx relaunch. At first it may seem odd, that the young talent be put in charge of such a historic label, but his balance of knowing fresh new artist in the vein of the previous DT legacy and an honest respect for it’s heritage really makes him the perfect candidate.

The Shape of House to Come is the perfect compilation to the announce the new era of Dust Traxx, with some of the best new names in house as well as legends such as Dajae. Many Solid Bump affiliates are represented here, including Ghosts of Venice, White Girl Lust, Alona, and Adulture himself.

There are few cities in the world where something like Folsom Street Fair could happen and we at Solid Bump could not be happier to be based in one of them. We are also quite lucky to live in a city where a DJ crew known as Honey Soundsystem reside. The Honey boys curate some of the best disco and classic house events in the city. Their next event is a 9 hour marathon of worldwide talent.

Over the last few years, the headlining Horse Meat Disco has been gaining huge notoriety for their parties in the UK, productions, and highly acclaimed mix compilations. They will be joined by SF’s own Nikola Baytala, and many many others. Solid Bump RECOMMENDED.

A few years ago we randomly met a fellow named Jules who was into our Pleasure & Pressure Vol.1 release. He shared some music from his new band Clubfeet and mentioned they had just signed a deal with Plant Music. Since then we have stayed in touch and they have released two awesome singles. White Girl Lust even did a remix of the amazing “Count Your Lovers” that never came out.

Yesterday I got the word from Plant head honcho, Stretch Armstrong, that Clubfeet’s Gold on Gold LP was finally dropping on July 27th and they were offering up 5 songs for free. I highly recommend going to the link and checking out these free tracks, as it is definitely Solid Bump approved.
