About 3 years ago I heard a phenomenal mixtape of classic West Coast gangster rap on the interwebs. It turned out to be from (thee) Mike B of Los Angeles. The “tape” really caught my attention and I started following his blog. He really is the man about LA – having founded Banana Spilt with DJ AM (RIP), doing regular appearances at the infamous Do Over, as well as participating in the stellar White Light Mix Series.
I was checking out his blog last week and saw he posted up a mix to promote his European tour this month. I always try and check out his mixes and this time I was happy to see he included the new single from Solid Bump – the White Girl Lust remix of Laberge’s “Funk Music”. All personal bias aside, the tracklist is great. Highly recommended.
