So I am all up in S. Africa’s mid-section at the moment. We are talking laughing hyenas, tooting elephants and boot wearing Afrikaans with beer guts (the SA “good ole boy”). Too many adventures to list here but one thing that I can’t not think about is imperialism while I am here. I mean it was barely 15 years ago that this place was completely f***ed. It also makes me think about musical imperialism… Byrne was good at it. I don’t mean that in a dick way.Even though this is far from my fave Talking Heads tracks this performance catches all that makes me love them.
