Garth – Come Unity – Side A
Garth – Come Unity – Side B
When I was 16 years old I had a busted Mercury Tracer. The soundtrack to the car was this mixtape. That and Ice Cube’s “Death Certificate” never left the ride. The only connection those two things had was how funky they were. That connection prolly confused my brain to make WGL what it is today. Funky things that connect only in our brains.
Denver and SF always had a big connection with the style of house music they liked. The Wicked Crew dudes, Dubtribe, and Carlos were there like every week and it showed.
* MOLESTING OLD RAVER STORY*
There was this older raver guy who was part of the Denver posse that threw most these parties. He was prolly only 35 but to my 16 year old eyes he looked 65. He told my girlfriend that he would dub her all his mixtapes. One day he called her and said they were ready. She was really excited and we hopped in the car to go get them. Obviously he didn’t know I was coming because he answered the door in his tighty whitey underwear. That day taught me a lot about life. Don’t trust people who have partied more than you have.

haha just don’t trust ravers in there 30′s… hold on… damn… time flies!
i remember the busted ass mercury, and it’s true. there is a huge denver / san fran link for some reason.
